About the role: As a Compliance Officer you'll be apart of the Compliance & Investigations Team, ensuring that our investigations are robust and compliance activities are lawful under the many pieces of legislation we administer such as the Building Act 2004, Resource Management Act 1991 and Local Government Act 1974 and 2002. On any day you will be: Proactively managing the Hosted and Unhosted visitor accommodation compliance, monitoring and enforcement portfolio. Providing advice and information on environmental compliance and enforcement matters. Receive, assess, and respond to complaints in a timely manner. Gather information to aid investigation. Determine veracity of complaints and level of non-compliance. Initiate appropriate compliance/enforcement action. About you: You'll be a positive and dynamic team player, who leads by example and takes a strategic approach to delivering outcomes. Establishing and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of customers and internal stakeholders will come naturally to you. You will also have: Minimum diploma, degree level tertiary qualification or relevant work experience in one or more of the following: Building Industry, Resource Management or Enforcement Four years practical application or experience in the building industry, an investigative type of role or related field applying enforcement legislation.
