We are looking for someone to join our team based in Auckland Central in a permanent position.The consultant is expected to create a positive customer experience in all interactions both internally and externally and seek to share observations and possible solutions to hazards to our policy holders and key stakeholders. The consultant will communicate in a timely and professional manner on the likelihood and consequence of potential risks and observations on Material Damage, Business Interruption, Machinery Breakdown and other risks.The Complex Risk Consultant makes a direct contribution to the profitability of our business by improving the risk profile of our customers.The RoleThe role has two Responsibilities including:Risk Surveying andContribution to Excellent Customer Care.If you are successful in this role you will be busy with the following: -Site inspection, risk analysis and reporting for our complex risk clientsProactively negotiating with customers to improve risks and adding value around risk management.Assisting Managers by demonstrating technical leadership of the teamConducting complex risk and other more technical survey workFacilitating the implementation of agreed risk improvementsMaintaining a highly professional level of customer serviceFlexibility of hours together with significant travelManaging work, expenses and travel to drive cost and time efficienciesExperience and skills - must havesUnderstanding of the basic principles of insuranceKnowledge of commercial property risk surveyingExperience in providing risk control adviceProficient at maintaining relationships with external and internal suppliers and customers.Ability to quantify likely risk improvement and promote implementation with insured or prospect.We are also looking for someone who has a positive attitude, keen to learn and develop their skills with great communication and relationship building skills.About UsAt IAG, we believe that everyone has a unique point of view to share, shaped by their life experiences, cultures & passions.
