Company Accountant

Key ResponsibilitiesManage NZ accounts payable and maintain relationships with creditors.Prepare monthly cost and exception reports.Coordinate local payroll preparation.Oversee the annual budget process and quarterly budget reforecasts.Assist with periodic stores inventory stocktakes.Submit financial and other returns to NZ statutory authorities, including tax and royalties.Review procurement contracts and capital expenditure requests.Maintain NZ bank relations.Conduct ad hoc cost investigations and assist the Site General Manager with additional tasks as required.Qualifications And ExperienceRelevant qualifications in business administration, finance, or accounting.A minimum of 5 years' experience in a financial capacity within the construction, mining, or manufacturing sectors.Key CompetenciesStrong commitment to safety and environmental awareness.Formal accounting qualifications.Proficient in multiple accounting software packages and advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel.Ability to analyse financial data and provide insights to mine management regarding cost exceptions versus budget.Proven track record of collaborating proactively in a fast-paced team environment.Why Join Us?At our organisation, you'll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, safety, and environmental responsibility.
