About the Role We have an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to work in our Whangarei based Te Roopu Whitiora Mental Health and Addictions team as a Community Support Worker.
In this role, you will provide care and support to people, in a community setting to a designated caseload of service users with mental health problems.
You will be involved in supporting clients and their whanau to achieve their goals and will work with the team to support client's health and wellbeing in order to reduce crises and inpatient admissions.
We are a close whanau that works collaboratively together and genuinely care about each other.

About You Previous experience of working with people with mental health challenges would be an advantage, however if you haven't worked in this area and you have a positive, proactive outlook and are a team player, we would love to hear from you as we provide a comprehensive training and education package.
National Certificate in Mental Health Level 4 Full drivers licence Comprehensive knowledge of mental illness and treatment interventions Minimum 2 years' experience in a community setting High level of verbal and written communication skills including negotiation/collaboration and mediation skills A career with Te Whatu Ora will see you action meaningful change in the region we love, and in your professional development – all whilst enjoying everything the stunning North has to offer.
