We are seeking an individual who will inspire, encourage, and serve as a role model, possessing excellent interpersonal skills and a 'can-do' attitude.This role will have a strong focus on client goals and outcomes, and you will assist the young people in the service in achieving maximum independence.This is a challenging role where you are predominantly used to cover leave absences, and you will be given your roster two weeks in advance.As we operate 24/7, hours of work will include day, evening, weekend, awake night, and sleepover shifts.Key ResponsibilitiesEncouraging and motivating client participation in day-to-day lifeSupporting them with activities of daily living, including in the communityEnsuring support with medication and personal hygieneSupporting social and whanau connectionEnsuring client processes are accurately documentedMost importantly, supporting them to have fun and live fulfilling livesSkills and ExperienceA full driver's licence is essentialMust have the right to work in New Zealand (visas must be valid for more than twelve months)A level 4 or other relevant qualification in mental health is desirable but not essentialExcellent communication and networking skillsAbility to build and maintain working relationships with clients, staff, and external agenciesPact offers a Wellness Scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, support to complete the Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate, and in-house, on-the-job training.Please do not apply unless you already have the right to work in New Zealand.
