Community Support Worker

Youth Intellectual Disability
Pact is currently looking for a part time Community Support Worker to work weekend shifts in our Youth Intellectual Disability Residential Service in Invercargill.
Pact is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and energetic person to work alongside our clients with an intellectual disability, who will inspire, encourage and role model, plus have excellent interpersonal skills and a 'can do' attitude.
Your role will include supporting clients to participate in meaningful activities in the community, support with daily house tasks to help them achieve maximum independence and assistance with personal hygiene such as conducting personal cares.
If you are understanding, flexible and sensitive to the needs of others and able to empower young people to be heard in spite of their disability, then this could be a job for you.
As we operate 24/7 hours of work will include day, evening, weekend and sleepover/awake shifts. At present the hours of work are working 20 hours per fortnight - Saturday and Sunday from 3.00pm - 8.00pm.
A full driver's licence, clean criminal record and computer skills are essential. You will need to be available for an interview in Invercargill.
If on a work visa, this must be valid for at least twelve months.
