Alzheimers Society Southland Inc. provides support, education and advocacy to clients and their families who are affected by dementia.
As our current Education Of?cer is moving to Australia, we are seeking a professional with a background of social work and community involvement to deliver our Cognitive Stimulation Therapy classes along with general duties as a Community Support Of?cer.
It is essential you have great organisation skills, good computer skills, can relate very well to people, and have:
• Experience dealing with the needs of older adults, including those with dementia and/or disabilities.
• A formal quali?cation or signi?cant interest/experience in Social Work, Health, Disability or Aged Support.
• A full New Zealand driver’s license.
This is a part time role of 15 to 20 hours per week, with the possibility of a job share arrangement (subject to speci?c requirements being met). It’s envisioned that this position will commence from Monday, 27 January 2020.
