We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Relations Manager to join the team within engagement. In this role you will coordinate UC's institutional programme of work with key external stakeholder bodies. You will ensure UC is progressing on commitments made to these key external stakeholders in our community and region. In doing this you will provide comprehensive and professional strategic advice and services to the AVC Engagement and leadership team in relation to the activities associated with UC's strategic plan and community commitments. It is essentail that you maintain high connectivity at all times with internal and external stakeholders, and promote a collaborative and cohesive working approach.
Mou | Who You Are
A successful applicant will have substantial (minimum 15 years') experience working in higher education, including:
Successful record in strategy development and implementation in a complex environment, with the ability to translate strategic thinking into a succinct strategic planSuccessful record of integration of strategic development initiatives across a complex organisationExcellent analytic and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate with senior stakeholdersProven experience negotiating sponsorship and funding for initiatives from industryAbility to quickly develop effective professional and collegial relationshipsEffective and proven motivational skills and experience across a diverse range of peopleActive commitment to upholding the values, tikanga (protocols and processes), kawa (rules) of cultural practice and traditions as guided by mana whenua, Ngai Tuahuriri, and valuing te reo Maori.Nga Painga o UC | Why UC
