Mental Health and Addictions Service
80 hours per fortnight
Are you an experienced mental health clinician looking for a change?
If so, this could be the opportunity for you.
The triage team consists of five staff based at 193 London Street, Hamilton. A further two triage staff from the community alcohol and drug service also sit with the team.
The mental health triage service is responsible for triaging all non-urgent referrals for the mental health and addictions service. Referrals to the service are received via a range of sources. The triage team process the referrals according to the most appropriate care pathway. Referral outcomes are varied and may include linking to primary health and NGO services or booking for a comprehensive assessment via a mental health team.
A significant degree of triage work is conducted via phone with some face to face assessments, so the ability to communicate professionally and appropriately with a wide range of people is essential. Documentation and the triage process is captured electronically, so computer literacy is also essential.
This position is suitable for an experienced mental health clinician who can work in a small but busy team, processing high referral numbers and contribute to the appropriate clinical care pathway for each person referred.
We offer a friendly team who will support your orientation and mentoring to help you get to know our service.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday - 8.00am to 4.30pm.
Applicants must have registration with the appropriate registration body and hold a current full, clean driver's license.
