We are looking for a registered professional to join our community mental health team working with adults experiencing mental health difficulties and with complex needs. This role is based in Hamilton. This exciting opportunity will also include working closely with our communities including local Iwi, families, NGO, primary health and police for improved access to and from our service.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a client-focused, dynamic, innovative and self-motivating team, using holistic, recovery focused and evidence based practice. The role includes coordinating clinical care and providing therapeutic interventions, solutions and advocacy to identified psycho-social needs.
As a member of the multidisciplinary team, you will work in partnership with our community to support service users/tangata whaiora to achieve their maximum potential.
We are looking for someone who has:post-graduate experience in a mental health setting.
the ability to work effectively with service users and whanau/social network, utilising recovery and strength-based approach.
demonstrated skills in comprehensive mental health assessment and risk management.
demonstrated skills in effective documentation of clinical assessments and interventions, including formulation.
a strong recovery focus and a sensitivity to cultural aspects of mental health and the ability to apply the Treaty of Waitangi principles into practice.
the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team; providing a high quality service to service users/ tangata whaiora.
a desire to work within a service whose goal is to improve access and recovery for all.
