We've been rapidly expanding for the last 3 years and are looking for people to join us as we grow.What you'll get to work on:Day to day, you will be assisting in the delivery of the annual communications plan to students, engaging them and raising their awareness of our services (events, clubs, advocacy, representation, and welfare).Developing exciting marketing campaigns to support our commercial projects and reach new clients. You'll also get to support external advertisers to reach students (the likes of Metro Canterbury, Contiki, Burgerfuel etc).About YouWe are looking for an all-rounder to join the team: a creative communicator and/or marketing whiz who can write and strategize for different audiences and platforms.To be successful in the role, you will bring a sense of fun, energy, and creativity to the UCSA. You will also have great attention to detail, have a strong team ethos and can demonstrate relevant experience delivering internal and external communications and marketing plans/campaigns through a range of channels,including online and social.To top this off, you will have great communication skills, can manage multiple projects, and have a strong attention to detail.Due to the nature of the role and the organisation, an affinity for and understanding of students is important.Important skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree (NZQA Level 7) or equivalent in Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferable.A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a similar communication and/or marketing role.Excellent communication skills, written and oral.Ability to work to tight deadlines and work on several projects at once.Ability to prioritise, organise and manage competing tasks.Self-motivated, and proactive with excellent time management skills.Willingness to work flexible and extended hours if required.About UCSANau Mai Ki Te Ropu Akonga o Te Whare Wananga o WaitahaWelcome to The University of Canterbury Students' Association (UCSA)Established in 1894, the UCSA is a registered not-for-profit organisation that supports UC students to succeed and belong.Our organisation is governed by an elected Student Executive, and we employ over 300 staff.
