This exciting new role of Communications Manager will be responsible for leading a wide range of strategic communications projects that elevate the voices, experiences and aspirations of disability communities in Aotearoa.The role will work in close collaboration with the Executive Director, while providing leadership support to our Editor, their editorial team and our Design & Social Media Coordinator to design and deliver strategic communication activities across our mahi.Key responsibilities include:Set the strategic direction for communicationLead the development and implementation of the D*List's communication strategyDevelop relationships with key partners across the creative and media sectors to identify new opportunities that amplify the scale and impact of D*List storytelling.Champion the D*List's brandOversee the development, delivery and reach of quality and impactful stories and messagesDevelop effective communications plans for D*List campaigns, activations and commercial partnershipsEnsure te Tiriti o Waitangi is honoured across The D*List's communications, providing whanau haua with the space and resources to lead their own storiesProvide leadership, support and approval of editorial and social media content planningProviding guidance and coaching to 2x direct reportsAbout you:We're looking for a pretty amazing human to fill this exciting leadership opportunity.
Ideally, you'll have lived experience of disability, neurodiversity, or chronic health conditions, or have strong relationships across disability communities.
You will share our commitment to honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
