This role is a wonderful opportunity to play an instrumental role in managing all commercial aspects of a major construction project in the central North Island on behalf of our client.
The role is required to support the Project Manager and project team for a major project in the Waikato area with a good amount of flexibility around the working arrangement (i.e. fixed-term or permanent). Naturally due to the nature of the role you will need to be present onsite every week to some extent. Like all projects, there are a lot of moving parts at any one time and we need someone who has experience in the following areas:
The preparation and submission of claims
Variation management
Risk management
Cost control and cost tracking
Reporting and forecasting
NZ3910 conditions of contract
Your Background.We are looking for someone who has a strong background in commercial management and project accounting in a project environment; very likely to be in the construction industry or a related industry.Great communication, negotiation and influencing skills, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and above-average skills in MS Excel and project management systems.The ability to be flexible, think on your feet, form effective working relationships across a wide variety of stakeholders in a project environment and ultimately have the drive and direction to deliver will be vital for this role.Please note a Ministry of Justice check is a pre-requisite for employment in this role.Move quickly if you are interested! we are looking to appoint a talented individual ASAP for this role!
