We work collaboratively with our customers to support their infrastructure and services needs as they tackle aging assets, regulatory reform, climate change, new technologies, and changing consumer behaviours.The Opportunity | Te kowhiringaAs a Commercial Manager within the transport and infrastructure regional business based in Hawke's Bay, you will be a key member of the extended leadership team and will be responsible for the contractual, financial, and risk management within the business. You will work closely with the Regional Senior Management Teams, along with the T&I South Leadership Team to deliver longer-term outcomes whilst also integrating with operational teams to resolve short-term customer issues.You will:Ensure sound commercial, financial, contractual, and business practices are applied to all Business operations consistent with National policy and business systems.Contribute to the development and growth of the business and implementation of strategy.Provide commercial, contractual, and risk management expertise to improve business performance and project outcomes.Develop commercial awareness through training, workshops, and mentoring.Hold a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent, e.g., BSc, RICS, NZCQS or equivalent.It is essential to have experience of providing management support in the construction or infrastructure sectors.Proven management experience with responsibility and accountability for staff, plant, and return on investment.A collaborative approach to working within and across multi-functional teams from different parts of the business.Well-developed written, verbal, and computer/software skills.Ko te take ka parekareka e koe ki te mahi ki konei | Why you will enjoy working hereDowner is committed to delivering excellence by ensuring our people have the environment and the means to be successful.
