Commercial & Logistics Assistant

An instantly recognizable household name that has been in business for over 100 years is now looking for a Commercial & Logistics Assistant to join their small but high performing team based in Ponsonby. This varied role will see you working across purchasing, logistics, accounting & customer services.

This is a hands on role with plenty of scope to gain exposure to the wider business function and develop yourself within a company that is experiencing significant growth in its sector.

In this role, your key tasks will be (but not limited to):
Supplier & customer liaison
Capturing & processing purchase orders
Arranging international & local freight for purchasing or for sales orders.
Product costing.
Ad-hoc sales reports.
Maintain local & international price lists.
End to end accounts payable

The successful candidate will have:
Credible transactional experience (end to end AP/AR)
Experience arranging CIF, FOB & other freight methods
Experience working with foreign currencies, imports & exports.
Purchasing experience with strong communication skills.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (pivot table, v look ups)
A flexible approach to work, great attention to detail & a great sense of humor!
Logical thinker who can work with varied information.
Looking to commit long term and grow within the role and company
