Auckland City, AucklandFull-time, PermanentRiviera Hardware Holdings Limited (RHHL) owns and successfully operates Mitre 10 Mega New Lynn, Warkworth and Albany along with Mitre 10 Whangaparaoa. We also proudly own and operate our three Columbus Coffee shops within our Mega storesOur Café located within Mitre 10 MEGA New Lynn is the hub of hustle and bustle, extremely busy, family friendly café which makes it the perfect meeting spot for our local community to come together.We are now actively seeking an experienced Cafe Manager to join the team, you will motivate and drive a team of 10+ staff and take our cafe to the next level.Leading from the front, you will be customer focused, demanding of the highest of standards - both of yourself and the staff you manage. You will be organised, able to adhere to Brand Standards and Systems and are methodical in your approach to the job with the ability to see the big picture and direct staff accordingly.Our Columbus Cafe is a 7 day a week operation, you will need to be flexible to work across all days including weekends.We are looking for someone with:Minimum 3 years’ experience at café or restaurant managementExperience working in a fast-paced café or restaurant our cafe is a very busy cafe, you will need to work quickly and work well under pressureExperience in leading and effectively managing a team of 10+ , both FOH and BOHExperience in staff training and motivation to further develop and grow their skillsContribute to marketing strategiesRobust understand around Food Control Plans and all areas of Health and SafetyKnowledge around a Franchise systems would be advantageousBarista Experience and a passion for all things coffeeLoves customer interaction with exceptional customer service skillsFlexible in availability – our Café’s operate 7-days a week and your shifts will involve weekends and public holidaysWhat’s in it for you :Opportunities to grow and develop within our teamGenerous staff discounts across our 4 Mitre 10 StoresA light, bright and modern working environment in our new premises.This is a hands on Management role – to be successful you will need to be a strong leader who can motivate, mentor and guide our team as well as be a team player who is happy to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in on a day to day basis.If you think you have what it takes to join the hustle and bustle of our A New Lynn Cafe - Apply Now!Please note offers will be subject to satisfactory Ministry of Justice Check.
