This role provides strategic leadership to the Adina CityLife Wellington and Travelodge Hotel Wellington, guiding them towards sustained success and growth.Adina CityLife Wellington offers 70 spacious studios and apartments, and is located a leisurely 60-metre walk from Travelodge Hotel Wellington, which features 132 spacious rooms, a restaurant, and conference facilities.About the role:Reporting to the Director of Operations NZ, you will serve as a mentor and coach, with a passion for people and exceptional service.
Your ability to see the big picture while maintaining focus on financial targets and strategic goals is essential.
You will be a proactive leader, fostering a positive environment where success thrives.Key Responsibilities include:Develop and implement hotel-wide strategies that exceed guest expectations and deliver a return on investment.Manage and execute the brand service strategy and initiatives.Provide strategic leadership to guide the properties towards success and growth.Set strategic direction and vision under a Hotel Management Agreement with owner reporting.Present monthly reports to the ownership team.About You:A visionary Hotel General Manager with 5-7 years' experience managing multiple properties (200+ keys) including studios, apartments, and hotel rooms.Proven track record of delivering growth, revenue, and profit across multiple hotels.Commercially savvy, with a good understanding of market conditions, opportunities, and risks.Strong knowledge of rooms, F&B, and conferencing operations.Inspirational leader with experience managing customer service teams.Decisive, accountable, and ownership-driven.Solid understanding of hospitality operations with strong financial acumen.Experience working within a centralized hotel management model.Excellent owner engagement and negotiation skills.Knowledge of Wellington or NZ (desirable).Experience with Protel and Opera (desirable).Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.Professional grooming and presentation.Permanent Full-time Working Rights for New Zealand (essential)Why TFE Hotels:Supportive and friendly team culture.Global hotel discounts for staff and family.Travel and wellness discounts.Paid birthday leave.Food and beverage discounts at stylish bars.Flexible leave options.Paid parental leave.International exchange opportunities.Career development and progression.Community involvement.Recognition and growth opportunities.At TFE Hotels, we celebrate your uniqueness and aim to give more back.
