Are you an Agile IT Project Manager that has a bias towards Cloud Infrastructure? As Cloud Delivery Project Manager you will be instrumental in driving the Department of Educations innovative Hybrid Cloud transformation. We are seeking a highly motivated, intuitive, and collaborative team player who challenges the status-quo and is relentless in improving systems and processes in all areas of cloud operations.
The Information Technology Directorate environment is ranked as one of the largest and most comprehensive in Australia (providing services to support to 1.3 million corporate, school staff and students).
About the RoleAs Cloud Delivery Project Manager you will initiate and drive new projects involving service design and transition to new ways of working with Agile squads. This role will focus on managing the delivery of activity that advances the functionality, reliability, overall maturity and continuous improvement of the Departments hybrid cloud service. As well as managing new service additions, you will also run infrastructure lifecycle projects, and coordinate major incident response. Working closely with the Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and cloud designers, you will be a key member in ensuring that work is planned, appropriate change control mechanisms are applied, and people are best allocated to work tasks across our matrix structure.
Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across both technical and business functions
Ability to present and communicate with key stakeholders and executives
Expertise in Agile project management and coaching, and collaborative tools such as MS Project, Atlassian Jira and Confluence
Experience/exposure to managing IT infrastructure projects at scale
Exposure to cloud delivery and migration projects

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:Relevant tertiary qualification in business, project management or a related discipline and strong knowledge of programme and project management methodologies
Industry certification in relevant technologies or equivalent industry experience
