Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP)based at Greenlane is a community based specialist assessment and treatment service for people aged 65 years and over who are experiencing mental illness and/or cognitive change.
TheECT serviceis based at Auckland City Hospital and provides specialist assessment and treatment. The small team comprises an ECT Coordinator and a Lead Clinician who work collaboratively with theatre, anaesthetic staff, and staff from referring mental health teams.
Liaison Psychiatryprovides assessment, specialist advice and consultation to services and teams within Auckland City Hospital for people with concurrent physical and mental health needs including the Emergency Department at Auckland City Hospital. Liaison Psychiatry is a fast paced service delivered by a cohesive team of experienced Consultant Psychiatrists, Nurse Specialists, Registrar and a Clinical Psychologist with excellent admin support.
TheHuntington's Disease serviceis a regional service comprising a Nurse Specialist 0.5 FTE, Community Mental Health Nurse 0.5 FTE, 0.4 SMO and dedicated admin support. The service is mainly involved with patients and families at the predictive testing, early symptomatic and diagnostic phases.
As the Clinical Team Leader, you will bring both clinical leadership and operational management skills, ensuring the effective day to day operation of the service. This includes leading and implementing service developments, improvements and initiatives.
The position requires a self-motivated and conscientious leader with a strong clinical and consumer focus. You will relish the challenges and enjoy working in a supportive environment. You will have a positive attitude, flexibility and a proven ability to form good relationships with staff, consumers and their families/whanau. Although experience in an operational management role is desirable, experienced mental health professionals with a desire to extend into a management role will be considered, and if successful will be supported in their development.
You will work collaboratively at a senior clinical level with clients, colleagues, mental health service providers, and other community agencies to promote service user recovery.
