Our Wellington Health Campus offers a range of clinical services, and specialties and currently includes orthopaedics, gastroenterology, endoscopy, general & colorectal surgery, vascular services, gynaecology, urology, paediatric surgery, neurophysiology, ophthalmology, and oncology.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Resource Nurse (Team Leader) to efficiently manage and coordinate the delivery of General Surgery services in our operating theatre department. A Clinical Resource Nurse acts as a role model in the department, displaying high standards of professionalism at all times and undertakes a lead role in developing and implementing processes that share knowledge, support and guide others. At times you will be required to work across all specialties to provide leadership and to support the needs of the business. This may include: General Surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, Vascular and Ophthalmology.
This is a full time position and primarily working Monday to Friday. Rostered shift start times as required to cover the needs of the department. Participation in an on call roster also required.
To be a part of the team you will need:
NZ Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate and scope of practice applicable to working in Theatre
Expert level 4 on PDRP or equivalent or working towards
ACLS - intermediate
Minimum 5 years\' post-registration experience working in theatre
Proven leadership experience in a nursing leadership role e.g., Shift Co-ordinator, Team Leader, roles that provide direction and delegation, people management etc. Or be ready to take the next step in your career
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive positive attitude
