Liggins Institute
Do you have a passion for health and the technical know-how to support top-quality research? In this exciting new role, you will oversee the Clinical Data Research Hub, a team within the Liggins Institute that provides high quality data management services to clinical researchers at the University and externally.
About the role
This role will see you running the day-to-day operations of the Hub, overseeing the development and delivery of world-class clinical data management solutions and working directly with researchers to ensure the service meets their needs. It will also give you plenty of scope to innovate and develop systems and processes that reflect current technology and best practice.
This role offers a lot of variety. You’ll help researchers design and manage data solutions for their clinical studies as well as building strong relationships with university researchers, external clients, UniServices (the University’s internal commercialisation arm) and the Centre for eResearch.
You will be responsible for the leadership, motivation and support of the data team. This highly skilled team comprises a Team Leader who will report directly to you, and data professionals who report to the Team Leader.
Our ideal candidate
You will be skilled and experienced in clinical trial design and managing the lifecycle of clinical data. You should have Good Clinical Practice knowledge, and a drive to stay up-to-date with advances in trial design, data management techniques, software and practices.
You’ll be able to demonstrate strong relationship management skills, ideally in a complex and collaborative environment. You’ll also have strong leadership skills, perhaps gained through managing people already, or through other collaborative work environments.
