Join the Assertive Community Outreach Service (ACOS), an intensive Community Mental Health Team in ADHB's High & Complex Needs Services. Our team works with people who have a history of poor engagement with mental health services and who present with high risk associated with their condition. We aim to provide responsive treatment to Service Users/Tangata whai i te ora who require more flexibility and intensity of support. ACOS covers all of the Auckland District Health Board area.
We provide crisis resolution and a significant focus on family involvement and short admissions to inpatient settings.As part of our team, you will help to make a real difference to our people's lives, their health outcomes and play a crucial part in their recovery journey.
As a Clinical Psychologist within the Assertive Outreach modelof service, you will use your specialist skills working collaboratively and imbedded with the multidisciplinary teams. You will be able to provide psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based therapy for clients with complex problems including hearing voices and symptoms of psychosis, mood disorders, complex PTSD, personality and dissociative disorders.
You must be registered with the NZ Psychologists Board with a current Practising Certificate (Clinical Scope of practice) or be eligible for same.
