Mental Health Services for Older Adults (MHSOA) provides a range of services to people over the age of 65 years who are experiencing mental health difficulties, and/ or cognitive change, and operates within an integrated model of care alongside gerontology services for this population group.
We currently have a vacancy for a Clinical Psychologist in our Sub-acute Treatment and Rehabilitation (STaR) team, a small multidisciplinary community team that provides intensive assessment and treatment to service users with complex mental health conditions across the WDHB region.
We are looking for a motivated Clinical Psychologist with:
Postgraduate Diploma of Clinical Psychology or equivalent
Proven psychological, psychometric and neuropsychological assessment skills
Experience working within a DBT framework (preferable) and/or in other particular evidence based interventions and therapy modalities
Sound skills in specialist mental health assessment, treatment and safety planning
NZPB registration, clinical scope
Current APC
Under the APEX collective contract psychologists receive up to $2500 each per year for Continuing Professional Development which can be accumulated over two years to $5000. This offers the chance to attend overseas conferences or multiple workshops, plus books, and subscriptions each year.
