An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (Children's Health) to join the Capital and Coast District Health Board to provide project support for the transition to the new Children Hospital that is due for completion in March 2021 on a permanent fixed term contract. This role is one of a team of three that will initially make up the transition team.
DUTIES
Lead the delivery of the review and implementation of the complete suite of revised models of care (inpatient, outpatient and community)
Provide leadership and support for staff training and engagement
Lead the delivery of other work streams/deliverables, as required
The transition team would be responsible for planning and implementing the operational (staff and consumer related) activities associated with the transition to the new Children's Hospital facility.
The following key deliverables would be considered in scope of the transition project:
Defining the transition strategy and implementation plan for the move
Developing and implementing new/revised models of care for all services
Ensuring the agreed property plans and fit-outs are fit for purpose
Facilitating the commissioning of clinical equipment, including training for all staff to ensure safe use of new clinical equipment
Facilitating input and review of Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FFE) list (led by the FF&E Manager)
Contributing to the identification, testing and training of new hardware and software
Planning and delivering comprehensive orientation training and induction for new staff
Planning and delivering a comprehensive communication plan including co-designing signage, wayfinding, consumer information collateral with children and families and information and advice for staff and providers.
