This is a full-time, permanent position.As a major trauma centre, Waikato Hospital orthopaedic service provides care to both emergency and planned care patients.
You will have the chance to coordinate interesting and challenging orthopaedic cases.

Previous experience in orthopaedic operating theatres is essential.Key responsibilities of the role:Leadership and co-ordination of orthopaedic surgery within the departmentMentor and develop expertise of others in the operating theatre environmentCommunicate effectively and build professional relationships within the multidisciplinary teamProactively address challenges and solve complex situations, often by making quick decisions under pressureParticipate in continuous quality improvement initiativesLead and participate in audits and evaluationsSkills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role:Minimum of 5 years' previous nursing experience in orthopaedic operating theatres in a large tertiary level hospitalSound understanding of orthopaedic instruments, equipment, and surgical protocolsProven experience successfully leading a teamInnovative and able to adapt to changeHigh attention to detailExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with surgeons, anaesthetists, patients, and theatre staffProactive and seeks opportunities to take actionCurrent APC & eligibility to work in New ZealandHow to ApplyPlease click 'Apply online' or apply via our Waikato Careers Website by clicking here.
