We practice in a collaborative partnership model of care to achieve best outcomes for patients and whanau.
We are looking for someone who can coordinate from the time patients are wait listed for surgery until treatment occurs.
You will work in a supportive environment with tailored orientation.
The hours are Monday to Friday with some flexibility in hours, stat holidays off, and closure through Christmas period.About the Team/Service/LocationOur dedicated team consists of our Planned Care Manager, responsible for management, oversight and support of the service and team.
Clinical Nurse Coordinators advocate for their services and smooth the surgical pathway for patients and whanau, and our valued administration team supports the nurse coordinators in this process.
We also work closely with the consultants, theatre teams, wards, and other services such as the thrombosis team, and no two days are the same.About YouSkills and ExperienceRegistered Nurse holding current registration with Nursing Council of New ZealandMinimum two years post-graduate experienceHold the established right to work in New Zealand (NZ citizenship, NZ residency or current valid work visa)Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applicationsStrong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks involved in the coordination of elective surgery for two specialtiesExperience in Neurosurgery and/or Paediatric Surgery is advantageousWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of Aotearoa/New Zealand.
