Purpose of Position:• To provide clinical and professional leadership for the nursing and multidisciplinary team, developing the nursing services and monitoring quality, including standards of practice and service standards.• Management of people, systems and resources to ensure service delivery is of a high standard.Qualifications & Experience:Current New Zealand Practicing CertificateExtensive expert knowledge in the Health sector, preferably in Primary Healthcare.Demonstrated understanding of contemporary health service delivery, with an understanding of models of care that are appropriate for Maori and Pacific peoples.Knowledge of key Health policy and directions.Demonstrable understanding of the Government's health funding framework and priorities.Ability to operate in partnership to plan, organize, implement and monitor the activities of Medical Services within the parameters established in consultation with Chief Executive.Previous experience in a leadership role, at a senior level, with significant clinical experience and knowledge.A successful track record in the development of, and performance monitoring and measurement against, clinical KPI's and benchmarks.Financial and Human Resource management experience and/or training.Knowledge of facility management, Health and Safety and Risk Management and Quality frameworks.All tools of trade provided, use of company vehicle during working hours, required training provided where necessary, sociable working hours being Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.Also working within an experienced team of Nurses, Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Medical Practitioners.About the Business:Ki A Ora Ngatiwai is a General Practice that strives to provide optimal services to enable whanau and communities to enjoy better health and wellbeing, for themselves and their children.Ki A Ora Ngatiwai is also a Primary Health/Whanau Ora Provider delivering Primary Health Services across the Rohe of Ngatiwai.
