About the role

Are you passionate about Civil engineering and developing the next generation of Civil Engineering Technicians and Technologists? We are looking for an enthusiastic person for a full-time (37.5 hours per week) permanent position in our Centre for Engineering and Industrial Design (CEID).

Are you the ideal candidate?

As a Civil Engineering Tutor, you will have an outgoing personality and be comfortable working in a progressive team. You’ll liaise with colleagues in the industry to provide work experience opportunities and encourage students’ innovation and creative thinking. In this tutoring role, you can enhance the region’s professional quality while influencing the direction of your industry.

You will have suitable qualifications and have current industrial experience in Civil Engineering. You would preferably have experience in Water and Waste Water management and systems. Experience in Structures would also be an advantage. This will complement our team of tutors in the delivery of the Level 6 New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Civil Engineering), and the Level 7 qualifications – the Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil Engineering) and the Graduate Diploma in Engineering Technology (Civil Engineering).
