Eco Urban Pty Ltdis a boutique consulting practice with more than 20 years’ experience working at the cutting edge of the sustainable development industry. Our projects include Australia’s most sustainable development “Sunrise at 1770”, UDIA 2008.
We provide creative, innovative and economically viable solutions for sustainable development.
We work with clientsAustralia-wide, from initial conceptualisation, master planning, pre-feasibility studies, project analysis, through to federal, state and local government submissions and approvals, project and environmental management, environmental impact assessment through to co-ordination of construction.
Your New Role
Eco Urban is currently expanding. We are seeking an experienced (minimum 5 years) civil project engineer or environmental engineer with a genuine commitment to environmental and social sustainability.
The role is diverse and includes the design and site supervision of the most sustainable residential development currently being built in Australia.
Full or permanent part time is offered.
We anticipate the role will quickly expand with an interesting variety of tasks focused around sustainable development including: conceptualisation and master planning of sustainable developments, renewable energy, development applications, subdivision design, modelling or assessment of water, wastewater, stormwater and site water balance.
Who are you?
The successful applicant will:
Be a professionally qualified civil or environmental engineer with minimum of 5 years’ industry experience
Have knowledge of or some experience in land development and project engineering
Have knowledge of or some experience in on-site supervision of land development projects and project coordination. Experience in contract management would be well regarded
Be comfortable working collaboratively with professionals of varying disciplines.
Enjoy learning new skills
Have knowledge of or some experience in civil design and construction – earthworks, roads and stormwater drainage. Interest in WSUD and open space design would be well regarded

Have had exposure to or desire to learn software tools such as CAD and Stormwater Modelling, MUSIC and in the development of models using EXCEL.
Have knowledge of or some experience in on-site civil construction practises including erosion control and sediment management, Workplace Health, Safety and Environment controls.
