Child, Youth, And Family Support Worker

Stepping Stone Trust (SST) is a faith based organisation and the largest NGO Mental Health Service in Canterbury. SST operates Residential, Respite and Community Support services for Youth through to Older Persons covering 500+ service users each week.
We are currently looking for a Child, Youth, and Family Support Worker to join our team.
This permanent, part-time position (.65 FTE) provides COPMIA (Children of Parents with Mental Illness/Addiction) services, ensuring early support to vulnerable children, young persons and their families where parental mental illness is present.
An understanding of difficulties faced by families who experience mental distress is an essential part of this role. As this role is predominantly supporting young males, a willingness and experience suited to working exclusively with males is preferred. We are seeking a confident worker, able to deliver creative, safe and meaningful events; as well able to facilitate education groups for children/youth. A teaching, outdoor education or youth work background would be advantageous. Shared experience of mental health within the family would also be welcomed. A full, clean drivers' licence is essential.

The pay scale is $42k-$53k per annum for an equivalent 1.0 FTE role, in line with gender pay equity.
