About the role: The COO role has overall responsibility for the manufacturing and production function across Pacific Edge and its franchise-like subsidiaries. In this role you will be responsible for:
Strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing and streamlining operations to maximize efficiency and deliver outstanding customer experience Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, third parties, internal customers and individuals across all global operations Manage customer expectations for performance and optimise accordingly Participate in the development and launch of new products including taking a lead role in some elements or functions as and when required Understand Pacific Edge’s macro business process, and the micro tasks at all levels across the remit. Responsible for Quality Management and Quality Management Systems for PEL and an overview of franchise like subsidiaries QMS (ISO, CAP, CLIA) Manage and optimise supply chain logistics including procurement of supplies and dispatch and return of sampling systems Negotiate major commercial contracts with key suppliers Have an acute awareness of the nuances between different operating jurisdictions To be successful in this role you will have:
Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in manufacturing Proven leadership and relationship management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development Demonstrable experience of leading a manufacturing function, delivering effective strategies, policies, processes and systems Strong negotiation skills and experience in drafting commercial contracts Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills through concise communication Collaboration skills and a willingness to work with and support others Willingness and ability to operate and thrive amongst ambiguity Commercially and financially astute with experience in managing budgets Knowledge and technical understanding of high throughput clinical laboratory and diagnostic processes, components and manufacturing techniques
