Our client, Variety the Childrens Charity of Victoria are seeking an exceptional, values driven individual to successfully deliver its business strategy and to lead and inspire this highly regarded charity into the future.
As CEO you will be responsible for the successful operation and outcomes of Variety Victoria. You will be the key driver for maximising grants payable to disadvantaged children by managing overall profitability, fundraising, sponsorship and growth of the organisation in collaboration with the Board.
Your key responsibilities will include;
Leading and managing this highly respected, values driven organisation
Driving and implementing the strategy of Variety, in conjunction with the Board
Fostering a collaborative culture with staff, volunteers, supporters and members of the wider Variety community
Exploring innovative ways to grow and diversify Varietys income, building its profile and impact in the community
Building effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, community partners, philanthropic trusts and foundations
Producing high quality events that raise funds for children in need
Effective management of the organisation, including financial, IT, human resources and compliance
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a deep understanding of the fundraising and philanthropy landscape in Victoria, and more broadly across Australia
Have proven team management and leadership skills, including strategic and innovative thinking
Be approachable and collaborative with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Have outstanding stakeholder engagement, fundraising, event management and marketing skills
Have demonstrated media experience
This role will ideally suit someone that is driven to look for new and exciting opportunities to diversify income streams as well as be an established people leader with a passion for mentoring and developing a team. This role is a two-year fixed term contract, with the opportunity for extension. A passion for motoring will be highly regarded but not essential.
