What will the role involve?
The Chief Digital Officer (CDO) is a strategic role and has a key seat at the table within our executive team. Whilst there is responsibility in the role to deliver operational innovation around our systems and functions, we are looking for a leader that can contribute positively to the direction of the business in a period of significant growth through transformational innovation. The CDO will highlight the business opportunities that technology innovation can create and will assist in leading UFF forward.
The successful candidate will be comfortable setting the direction of the UFF Digital Services team, and be able to motivate and gather up the best talent in town. In supporting the delivery of the overall business strategy there will be a responsibility for developing the future state technology and our digital plan, as well as the roadmap to get there.
The CDO will need the leadership and communication skills to implement organisation-wide change management and contribute positively to the culture of the Digital Services team. The ability to hold successful partnering relationships will be key to UFF's digital journey and our CDO will be experienced in creating a partner eco-system that operates with our companies best interests at heart.
What will you need to bring with you?
This is a senior role in our organisation and we will need you to be suitably qualified and experienced. Although you may not necessarily have telecommunication industry experience, you will have experience in developing successful business strategies underpinned by the application of technology. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing an ICT function, and/or development teams is essential, as well as a high level of interest and understanding of emerging technologies and their potential application.
