Tawa Glen Cafe is looking for a permanent 2IC Chef to join our fantastic team.Our cafe is nestled in beautiful gardens in Lepperton, Taranaki.The current hours are between 60 - 70 hours per fortnight; this may fluctuate up or down, depending on the season and extra bookings for functions.
Hours include mostly day shifts, weekend work, and evening shifts when required to cater for weddings, functions, and over the Taranaki Garden Festival.The successful applicant must understand the current food control plan requirements and be able to work within and achieve the mandatory requirements.
You must also have food safety certificates 167 and 168.Additionally, you will be part of future menu planning, daily specials, and must be able to cook, prepare, and present cabinet food to a high standard.The applicant must be able to run the kitchen smoothly and manage and direct kitchen staff when the Head Chef is on rostered days off.If you would like to apply for this position or have questions, please phone (06) 752 0809 and ask to speak to the Manager, Katrina Mitchell.
