Assist in the running of one of Auckland’s premiere Japanese Restaurants
Join one of New Zealand’s largest hotel operators
The Grand Millennium Hotel Auckland is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Chef De Partie to join their Katsura kitchen team in a full time role. In this role you will be assisting with food preparation and the cooking of Japanese cuisine to the highest of company standards, whilst maintaining a clean, safe and tidy work environment at all times. You will be self-motivated, well organized and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
Key responsibilities:
Preparation and cooking of Japanese cuisine to the highest company standards, to satisfy customer expectations
Plan and organise work flows
Communicate with and support staff in other departments

Key skills and experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience in Japanese Cuisine
Proven sushi and sashimi preparation experience preferred
Teppanyaki experience essential

Flexibility to work rostered shifts including weekends
Team player with the ability to work under pressure
