The Wharf Seafood Restaurant and Bar was established in September 2019 as Akaroas only Seafood restaurant. We like all our guests to experience a welcoming, inspiring and genuine taste of New Zealand, our people and the produce that makes us proud.
This role would suit an ambitious up and coming chef who has a desire to learn and develop in a premium restaurant environment. We require a strong, energetic and creative chef de partie to be a part of our family
The suitable applicant will be passionate about food, and relish the rush of a busy service.
We are looking for someone who has an excellent work ethic and reliability record.
Essential skills and attributes;
- Have a minimum of 1 years full time experience at a busy, quality establishment
- Proven cooking skills, experience and record of professionalism
- Genuine spirit of hospitality; for guests and team
- Consistent performer no matter the pressure
- Brilliant and straight up communication skills
- Energy and stamina to work shifts
- Takes pride in personal presentation
- Has an attention to detail
- Track record of reliability and consistent performance essential
