Experienced Chef Wanted We are a Chinese restaurant located at City Central, Auckland, and we offer an innovative range of Chinese food. To enhance our team, we are looking for an experienced Chef to fill our vacancy. We are looking for someone who has a passion for food, attention to details, ability to multi task and be a proactive member of the team. Ideal candidate should have a minimum 3 years relevant experience working in commercial restaurant or have a relevant qualification.You are required to: Planning menu items, participating in the organization of ordering, cost controlling and wastage of foodPreparing and cooking foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functionsChecking and monitoring the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are metDetermining how food should be presented, and creating decorative food displaysDemonstrating new cooking techniques and equipment to staffEstimating amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredientsTraining other chefs and kitchen staff if required We offer fantastic career progression opportunity, learning and development support.
