About the role:
Our dedicated Kitchen team are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to join them on a full time basis.
You will be responsible for creating hearty, quality home cooking for a restaurant environment, so whipping up delicious offerings is easy for you and coordinating the kitchen is effortless. You will ensure excellent food quality whilst maintaining consistent portion size and presentation at all times. You will work closely with the Kitchen Manager, helping lead our team with your mature can-do attitude and the ability to communicate and relate well to a range of people. You will have the ability to train and guide others, and take responsibility of the kitchen in the absence of the Kitchen Manager. You will also be required to assist with ordering supplies, completing staff rosters, and designing special menus for our residents.
On offer is a full time opportunity, working 40 hours per week. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts is essential.
Skills and experience required:
You will be creative and resourceful with an eye for detail.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
Exceptional cooking skills
Commercial kitchen and/or Cafe experience
Outstanding customer service skills
Food industry qualification
Excellent food hygiene practices and personal presentation
