Chef

We are a popular Chinese Bakery & Café in Mount Cook, Wellington and now in urgent need of a qualified chef to prepare and bake our patisserie and cuisine products.

You will need to have a diploma in cuisine or equivalent training qualification. At least 2 years relevant cake baking and basic cuisine working experience which is a must. You are required to be skilled at making easy English breakfast and burgers, cooking some Chinese dishes for lunches, preparing all kinds of pies and quiches(including making inside sauces and outside dough), trimming and cutting a whole meat is essential and cooking them in different methods of course. In addition, you also need to know about how to make traditional Chinese mooncakes, ice skin mooncakes, Taiwanese pinwheel/pastry mooncakes, Chinese cookies, and various of Taiwanese breads.

You will need to work 40 hours over 7 days per week, be hardworking and passionate. In return you will be rewarded with competitive package of salary and comfortable working environment and conditions. The salary will be in commensurate with qualification, work experience and skills.
