KITCHEN MANAGER/ CHEF

We have permanent full time opportunity for an experienced Chef at our Maupuia Facility, situated at the heart of Miramar community with stunning views overlooking the Cook Straight and Kaikoura mountain range.
You will be responsible for running the on-site, commercial kitchen and work closely with the Clinical Team to ensure that all nutritional requirements are met. You will be providing nutritious and attractive meals to our residents.
About the Role:
Preparation of food and meals to a high standard
Menu is on a 4 week rotation
Ensure excellent food hygiene practice at all times
Work unsupervised and cope with fast paced environment
Supervision of kitchen staff
Maintain strong supplier relationships
About You:
Savvy knowledge of food prep and safety
Knowledge of food safety standards (167/168)
Food Handling certificate required or support to work towards.
Experience in a commercial setting
Dedicated and reliable
Caring nature and passionate about working with the elderly
Excellent communication skills
Team player
