We are looking for an outstandingCharge Nurse Managerfor ourMedical Assessment Unit (Emergency Department Services)at Middlemore Hospital to:
Lead the Medical Assessment Unit into the future
Provide exceptional professional and clinical nursing leadership
Promote excellence in best practice, and safe, high quality patient and whaanau centred care, resulting in a great patient experience
Continue to grow and develop the Medical Assessment Unit team, supporting and enabling nurses to work to their top of scope
Support and enable the department to meet key performance indicators
In this fast paced environment, as Charge Nurse Manager you will need great interpersonal and communication skills, lots of enthusiasm, be a team player and be very well organised, creating a fantastic working environmentwhere people want to work. We are seeking a star performer who thrives on creating innovative solutions consistent with the organisations/service strategies, has a commitment to continuous quality improvement and the energy to strive for a very high standard of patient care that supports best patient outcomes.

EssentialNew Zealand Nursing Registration
Current Annual Practicing Certificate
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Nursing
Demonstrated expertise in setting standards and managing excellence in practice
Ability to provide coaching and mentoring
Proven leadership and staff management experience
