Welcometo Timaru Hospital’s Jean Todd Maternity Unit.Weprovide primary and secondary care to women in South Canterbury. This ishands-on midwifery work; we see around 600 births a year, ranging from normaland low-risk to complex and high-needs.
Youwill lead our team of core midwives, breastfeeding advisors, nurses andhealthcare assistants in the daily running of our maternity ward. You will alsohave a close working relationship with the local midwives in the SouthCanterbury region.
Asthe clinical leader, staff will look to you for guidance on clinical matters.As the manager, you will handle the decision making and higher functioningadministrative tasks. You will also work on the floor when the need arises.
