The TEC - Te Amorangi Matauranga Matua is a small Crown agency with a big job to do – ensuring New Zealanders have the skills and the knowledge they need to ensure lifelong success to build a great country. We lead the Government's relationship with the tertiary education sector in New Zealand and provide career services to lift the aspirations and skill bases of all New Zealanders from ages 7 to 74.
We're seeking a Change Lead for an initial two-year fixed-term to support the Reform of Vocational Education (RoVE) programme. RoVE is the largest transformational change in the education sector in over 30 years, creating a strong, unified, sustainable system for all vocational education.
You will be working in the project team responsible for the design and creation of Workforce Development Councils (WDC's), and supporting the design and implementation of a process for shifting the arranging of training function currently held by ITOs to education providers. This project represents a core component of the programme, ensuring industry has greater control over vocational education.
What will you be doing?
Leading the design, implementation, and monitoring of change for the project.
Support internal and external stakeholders champion and implement the change plan.
React to the changing environment and adjust the plan as required.
What can you bring?
Experience of working on significant change, ideally sector wide change.
Knowledge of / or experience in the education sector would be an advantage.
Change management experience in post-merger integrations would be a significant advantage.
