Certified Plant Supervisor

Firth Industries is a leading supplier of ready mixed concrete and masonry products to the construction industry either directly or through building product distributors. With production demand high, we are looking for a strong people leader to supervise our certified plant at the Mount.Based at our plant in Mount Maunganui, reporting to Area operations Manager, your key role is to lead our workforce comprising of Certified Drivers and Production staff, to manage the daily operations of our certified plant, ensuring quality production & delivery of concrete through management and direction of the fleet of drivers and other staff on site. Ensuring the team’s adherence to Firth EHS policies and procedures on all work areas is critical. This is a fast-paced environment and we are looking for someone who can focus on developing their team, improving systems and processes all whilst maintaining a safe environment. To be considered you will have the following:Prior experience and a proven understanding of core manufacturing processes, quality control, and leading production staff are essential. You’ll also need to have good problem-solving skills, be cognisant of the bottom line of the business and reducing wastage. Your ability to engage with your internal and external stakeholders will prove vital. Flexibility is a must, the concrete industry is constantly developing and you’ll need to manage the requirements of our customers.
