Are you an enthusiastic Cello player who wants to share your love of the instrument with others? Will you be available on Saturday mornings staring February 2020 and finishing December 2020?
We are a charitable Trust that provides music tuition, primarily in group format, in a variety of musical instruments.
Our classes are held on Saturday mornings during primary school terms. Classes are about 30 minutes long and can run anytime between 8:00AM and 1:00PM. The school is located on the University of Waikato Hillcrest campus. While most of our students are of primary or intermediate school age, we also have quite a few adult students at varying levels of musical knowledge/aptitude. We are looking for a Cello tutor who has a good command of the instrument and the desire to assist others to learn. In addition to teaching hours, you would have the option to assist in one of our ensembles (String ensemble, Sinfonia Orchestra) as a player/mentor.
The ideal candidate must have knowledge and experience with playing the cello and great communication skills.
As you would work as an independent contractor, you must have New Zealand residency. Short-listed candidates will be interviewed and police-vetted.If this sounds like you, apply now!
