About this Role

WellFood is seeking motivated, reliable, and punctual Catering Assistants to join our team at Burwood Hospital. In this role, you will work as part of a large, dynamic team, collaborating with other Catering Assistants, Kitchen Assistants, and Cooks to provide an exceptional dining experience for our patients.

These roles offer the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while gaining valuable experience in a healthcare setting. All training will be provided, and no food preparation is required – your main responsibilities will include assembling and delivering meal trays, assisting patients with menu choices, and ensuring the highest standard of service.

Starting rate of $27.80 per hour Based on the E tu Service and Food Workers collective agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver meal and beverage services to patients in their wards
* Assist patients in understanding and selecting menu options
* Assemble meal trays and deliver them to the wards while providing excellent customer service to patients and their whanau
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Be on your feet for most of the shift, including pushing trolleys and walking throughout the hospital
