On a daily basis, you will be negotiating with vendors to develop or procure a product and lead the buying and merchandising processes.
At the heart of this role we focus on putting our customers, team and suppliers first whilst delivering great solutions around our category strategies through procurement, promotions, price and placement - a challenging but rewarding role and one where you'll really make a difference in the lives of our customers.Key accountabilities:Identifying the business's merchandise needs and understanding the buying/selling patterns to be able to provide insight on planning and activitiesMaintain awareness of product trends, availability and customer preferencesBuild strong, productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and maintaining these relationshipsDevelopment of strategic plans including recommendations to changes to drive the success of the categoryWhat you'll bringTo succeed in this role you'll be highly collaborative, a natural problem solver and commercially driven.
You'll be comfortable in your knowledge and ability to build strong partnerships with our suppliers and have a strong level of financial and commercial acumen.
You will need to have category management experience to be successful in the role.
