Casual Support Workers - Rehabilitation

Who are we?

HealthCare NZ Rehabilitation specialises in providing injury related support, nursing and rehabilitation services throughout New Zealand. We are New Zealand's largest ACC contracted supplier of home and community support services and a provider of ACC nursing services.

What is the Support Worker role about?

As a Support Worker you will be working with a variety of individuals to support them to achieve maximum independence after an injury.

Some of these tasks may include the following:

Personal support including showering, dressing, grooming and toileting
Food preparation and assisting with meals
Complex cares which includes hoist use and transfers
Supporting people with high complex needs and challenging behaviour
Accompanying our clients to social outings in the community

We are looking for people with the following skills:

Reliable, professional and trustworthy with the ability to work independently
Strong communication skills and fluency in English
Be fit, flexible and have a fun and mature personality
Previous experience in supporting a person with spinal cord injury would be an advantage, however full training will be provided
Full driver's licence and may be required to drive a mobility van for some clients
