The shifts cover 24/7 or 7:00am-3:30pm/2.00pm-10.30pm, Monday-Sunday based in Waihi.If this sounds like you, here are some of the responsibilities required of you:Support people connect back with their communitySupport with cooking, cleaning, gardening and helping with everyday household tasksAssisting with budgeting and independent daily livingMedication support where requiredAttending appointments and advocating for the people we supportA current full New Zealand driver's licence.A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.Hold either the Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or a recognised equivalent) or be willing to commence study towards this qualification within six months of starting with us.
We offer our staff significant support to complete this study.Experience in working with young people and an understanding of trauma-informed care.Able to be flexible and available for varying shifts.Both de-escalation skills and relationship-building skills.Maori and Pasifika are strongly encouraged to apply for this role.
