The Opportunity | Te aheinga We're on the lookout for a motivated individual to join our team as a Casual Operations Assistant - Venues and Events .
In this dynamic role, you'll support the Coordinators across Stadium Taranaki, TSB Showplace, TSB Stadium, Bowl of Brooklands and Festival of Lights helping to deliver high-quality cultural, sporting, and recreational experiences.
Every event is an opportunity to create memorable moments, and you'll be right at the heart of it - assisting with setup, pack-down, and on-the-ground support to ensure our venues operate smoothly and to the highest standard.
Whether it's a packed-out concert, local theatre production, or weekend sports fixture, your contribution will help bring the event to life.

Key Responsibilities | Nga haepapa matua Assist with the operation of venues and equipment to ensure a safe and secure environment and to meet customer expectations and contractual requirements.
This includes physically assisting with the setup, pack-in, and pack-out of equipment and infrastructure for events.
Participate in front of house duties as required and assist with behind-the-scenes operations Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation Essential Skills and Experience | Nga pukenga me nga wheako Experience in venue operations would be an advantage Drivers licence What We Offer | Nga Ratonga At New Plymouth District Council, we're all about creating a positive and rewarding work environment - no matter your role.
